Redhead Creamery has been making ridiculously good, artisan cheese on our family dairy farm since 2013. But the dream for this sustainable and eco-friendly creamery has been a dream of founder (and natural redhead) Alise Sjostrom’s since she was 16. Today you can tour the creamery, host your event in our private space, or simply hang out to sample some cheese and have a pint in our cheese shop! We can’t wait to see you!
Visit our working farm (Jer-Lindy Farms), meet the milking maidens, watch our cheesemakers enjoying their craft and taste samples in our cheese shop! It's sure to be a day you'll remember!
At the young age of 16 I was inspired to become an artisan cheese maker. But that alone was not enough to make it happen. In the 10 years that followed I dedicated my higher education and much of my free time to learning how to make and market good cheese.
I’ve studied cheese making, interned, worked at other artisan cheese plants, and even designed the Redhead Creamery plant we are making cheese in today. So yes, you could say my love of cheese goes beyond a good grilled cheese.
To say it’s been a walk in the park to get where we are today wouldn’t be quite accurate. Farming is a labor of love, and farmstead cheese making is no different. To learn more about my cheese journey, including how we got started and our successful Kickstarter campaign… click the link just below.
